Evkeeza
EVKEEZA can help lower extremely high levels of bad cholesterol (LDL-C). EVKEEZA is an angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) inhibitor indicated as an adjunct to other low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) lowering therapies for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients, aged 5 years and older, with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH).
Administration Information
Evkeeza is given by IV infusion over 60 minutes every 4 weeks.
Potential Side Effects
The most common side effects of
EVKEEZA include:
- symptoms of the common cold
- flu-like symptoms
- dizziness
- pain in legs or arms
- nausea
- decreased energy
EVKEEZA has a safety profile for children 5-11 years old that is similar to that seen in adult patients. In addition to the common side effects listed above, children ages 5-11 also experienced feeling tired or weak after taking EVKEEZA.
