HyQvia

HyQvia
HyQvia is a prescription immune globulin treatment approved for adults and children with primary immunodeficiency (PI) in people 2 years and older and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) in adults.
It helps those who don’t have enough antibodies to fight infections. This injectable is made from human antibodies (IgG) combined with a small enzyme called recombinant human hyaluronidase. It contains antibodies that support your immune system and a second ingredient that helps your body absorb the medicine more easily.
Administration Information
HyQvia is a liquid medication administered under the skin (subcutaneously). The dose and treatment schedule are individualized based on the patient’s diagnosis and prior therapy.
• Primary Immunodeficiency (PI):
After the initial dose, treatments are typically given every 3–4 weeks. When transitioning from a previous therapy, the first HyQvia dose is usually administered about one week after the last infusion of the prior treatment.
• Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP):
After the initial dose, treatments are generally scheduled every 2–4 weeks.
Number of yearly treatments: Varies based on the patient’s condition and treatment plan.
