IMAAVY
IMAAVY
IMAAVY™ (nipocalimab-aahu) is a neonatal Fc receptor blocker indicated for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) in adult and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older who are anti-acetylcholine receptor (AChR) or anti-muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (MuSK) antibody positive.
Treatment has shown to help improve neuromuscular communication, resulting in stronger muscles and better daily functioning for patients managing gMG.
Administration Information
IMAAVY is administered through an intravenous (IV) infusion. After your initial dose, you will receive an infusion once every 2 weeks lasting 15-30 minutes.
Potential Side Effects
The most common side effects in people with gMG treated with IMAAVY include:
● infection in parts of your body that you use for breathing (respiratory tract infection)
● swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet (peripheral edema)
● muscle spasms
