Onpattro
Onpattro contains a transthyretin-directed small interfering RNA and is indicated for the treatment of the polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adults.
Administration Information
Onpattro is given by intravenous (IV) infusion once every 3 weeks by a healthcare professional. The infusion takes approximately 80 minutes.
Potential Side Effects
The most common side effects in patients treated with ONPATTRO were respiratory infections such as colds, sinus infections, and nasal congestion, and infusion-related reactions.
The most common infusion-related reactions people experienced were:
• flushing of skin
• back pain
• nausea
• stomach pain
• difficulty breathing
• headache
Infusion-related reactions decreased over time.
