Renflexis

Renflexis (infliximab-abda) is a biosimilar of Remicade. Renflexis is indicated for the treatment of Crohn’s Disease, pediatric Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Plaque Psoriasis. Inflectra is administered as an intravenous infusion.

Administration Information

A biosimilar is a medicine approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as being highly similar to an already approved biologic medicine. The FDA refers to the already approved biologic as the reference product. It is also known as the originator or original biologic product.

Potential Side Effects

RENFLEXIS treats the same autoimmune diseases as Remicade. It works the same way, has the same dosage and is taken the same way. This means you can expect similar safety and effectiveness from the biosimilar over the course of treatment as you would from the reference product.
