Tremfya
TREMFYA is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderate to severe Ulcerative Colitis.
TREMFYA® targets IL-23, a key component of inflammation in UC. It starts to improve the lining of the colon and patients can start to get symptom relief including fewer bowel movements and less rectal bleeding (bloody stools) observed as early as week 4.
Administration Information
Tremfya is an IV infusion given once a month for 3 doses followed by SQ injections every 8 weeks.
Potential Side Effects
The most common side effects of TREMFYA include respiratory tract infections, headache, injection site reactions, joint pain (arthralgia), diarrhea, stomach flu (gastroenteritis), fungal skin infections, herpes simplex infections and bronchitis.
