Yesintek
YESINTEK (ustekinumab-kfce) is a biosimilar* prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. It is a human interleukin-12 and -23 antagonist that treats symptoms similar to other prescription medicine. YESINTEK has shown to help reduce inflammation related to inflammatory diseases.
*A biosimilar is a biologic drug that’s highly similar to the original approved medicine. This means there are no clinically meaningful differences in safety or effectiveness between the two drugs.
Administration Information
Yesintek is given by IV infusion and It takes at least 1 hour to receive the full dose of medicine. After the one-time IV infusion, you will take YESINTEK as an injection under the skin every 8 weeks.
Potential Side Effects
Common side effects of YESINTEK include: nasal congestion, sore throat, and runny nose, redness at the injection site, upper respiratory infections, vaginal, yeast infections, fever, urinary tract infections, headache, sinus infection, tiredness, bronchitis, itching, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, stomach pain. These are not all of the possible side effects with YESINTEK. Tell your doctor about any side effect that you experience. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
