Yeztugo
YEZTUGO® (lenacapavir) is a subcutaneous injection approved by the FDA as Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 in adults and adolescents weighing at least 35kg (77 lbs).
As a capsid inhibitor, it provides long-acting protection offering an alternative to daily, medication-based HIV prevention.
Administration Information
YEZTUGO is given by subcutaneous injection twice a year after the initial starter doses that includes 2 pills and an injection; then 2 pills at home. You must be HIV negative before starting YEZTUGO and get an HIV test before every injection appointment.
After your starter doses, you'll receive ongoing doses of 2 injections every six months.

Injection site reactions (bump, pain, and skin hardening)
Headache
Nausea
Dizziness
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Tell your doctor about any side effect that bothers you. Rare serious injection site reactions can occur, so tell your healthcare provider if you experience any side effects or reactions at the injection site.
