Lumvoa

Lumvoa
Lumvoa™ (veligrotug‑vvze) is an FDA‑approved infusion treatment for Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). TED is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation and tissue changes around the eyes, often leading to eye bulging (proptosis), double vision (diplopia), pain, and vision disruption.
Lumvoa works by blocking the IGF‑1 receptor, a key driver of TED, helping reduce inflammation and improve eye positioning and comfort. Clinical trials showed rapid and meaningful improvements in both active and chronic TED, with many patients experiencing symptom relief as early as three weeks.
Administration Information
Lumvoa is administered as an Intravenous (IV) infusion. Patients receive five infusions over 12 weeks, typically every three weeks. The first infusion will take about 45 minutes. The remaining infusions should take about 30 minutes each depending on patients tolerance.
Number of yearly treatments: 5
