Eversense® 365

Sage Infusion is an Eversense® 365 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System certified Implantation Center in Florida.

The Eversense® 365 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System is a glucose reader (sensor and smart transmitter) for patients with diabetes (18 years and older) taking insulin. The sensor gives real-time glucose readings that continually measures glucose levels for 1 year. It is placed just under the skin of the upper arm by one of Sage Infusion’s certified nurse practitioners trained in Eversense® 365 placement and removal. The smart transmitter sits above the sensor, sending glucose data every 5 minutes to the patient’s app. The Eversense 365 CGM System is a prescription device; patients should talk to their healthcare provider to learn more and see if they qualify.

Administration Information

At Sage Infusion, our certified nurse practitioners will place the Eversense® 365 tiny sensor just under the skin with a small incision which is then closed with Steri-Strips (which you can remove within a few days). This procedure takes less than an hour in-office. Once implanted the patient receives a removable transmitter that sends the data to the patient’s app (which the patient needs to download). The sensor lasts for an entire year.

Placement process:

  • Numbing
    The area is sterilized and numbed for comfort.
  • Tiny Incision
    A very small incision is made to insert the sensor.
  • Sensor Placement
    The provider places the sensor just beneath the skin.
  • Bandaging
    Adhesives and a bandage are applied while the area heals.
