Gazyva
GAZYVA (obinutuzumab) is a prescription medicine that targets the CD20-directed cytolytic antibody indicated for the treatment of adult patients with active lupus nephritis (LN) who are receiving standard therapy.
Administration Information
GAZYVA is administered as an intravenous infusion with 4 infusions in the first year then only 2 infusions a year going forward. Patients will receive 1000mg doses in Weeks 0 and 2 then again in Weeks 24 and 26. Six months later they will receive 1 dose every 6 months.
Potential Side Effects
The most common side effects that occurred in patients who received GAZYVA plus standard therapy for lupus nephritis were upper respiratory tract infection, COVID-19, urinary tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, infusion-related reactions, and low white blood cell count (also known as neutropenia).
