Leqembi
Leqembi is a prescription medicine for people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease.
People with Alzheimer’s disease have a protein called amyloid that continuously builds up in the brain. It starts with small forms of amyloid protein. These may clump together into larger forms, which can damage your brain cells. As they continue to build up, they can form harmful amyloid brain plaques.
Leqembi can help fight Alzheimer's disease in 2 ways: 1. Targets harmful amyloid proteins, and 2. Reduces existing amyloid brain plaque
Treatment should be initiated in patients with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia stage of disease.

Potential Side Effects
The most common Adverse Reactions (incidence of at least 5%) are headache, ARIA-E, cough and diarrhea.
